Mounting a second spark plug in the cylinder.
Placing a secondary spark plug in each cylinder, possible for the larger Moto Guzzis. Burn time is almost split into two, making the burning of the mixture more effective. As a result the enige will put out a higher gain, more torque and power, less chance of predetonation and noticeable cleaner exhaust gases. A concept we've been using since 1979 (Lava Racing).
TwinSparken is possible on all Moto Guzzi's from 850cc with both the modern square cylinder heads and the classic round cylinder heads. The costs are model specific, but for a California EV of 2002 this indicative amounts:
|Disassembly and Assembly complete||
|Edit the cylinder heads||
|Miscellaneous (oil pipes, plugs, cables, gaskets)||€ 215|
It's not just a matter of drilling the hole for the secondary spark plug, but the internal oil canals have to be reworked and altrered as well. As a result the oil pressure tubes also have to be modified. The pictures give the milling, drilling and tapping from the editing process again.
