Moto Guzzi at EICMA 2012
November 13 the 70th edition of the EICMA
November 13 the 70th editions of the EICMA, Europe's largest motorcycel fair, opened it's doors for visitors. As we're used to by now, our Italian friends save the best news for their home match. This goes for Moto Guzzi in particular... On a well lit stand we meet a couple of acquaintances; the completely renewed V7 Series, being the V7 Stone, V7 Special (in 750S3 Colour cheme) and the V7 Racer. They are being accompanied by the Stelvio NTX 8V in Amazongreen and the Norge 8V in a twotone colour scheme. However, the biggest news resides spread across the stand under four grey cloths! On the side of the raisde platform in the back the letters California make clear we are dealing with the new California 1400.
Straight across is an immense blue lit up wall with a couple of surprises behind it. When this wall raises up during the press conference, two beautiful California 1400's come in view accompanied by loud applause. Piaggio, holder of the brand umbrella, talks a bit about Biaggi's farewell to the MotoGP, the new Aprilia Capo Nord and the new Vespa 946, but then all eyes point to the California 1400. The cloths may be removed finally and two different versions of the new bike appear in five different colours:
The California 1400 Touring in back and in white.
The California 1400 Custom in black, in matt black and in grey.
More information on this all new California can be found in it's own newsitem.
