Restoration V7 sport

A couple of months ago we received an email from William Ivory about a red V7 Sport we had in stock. He wanted to know more about it. Unfortunaly for him, this bike was already spoken for and subsequently sold to the chech republic. Since he was absolutely determined to find a good V7 sport, I suggested to him that we could help him tracing an adequate bike down. One thing led to another and after a lot of emails we decided together to purchase a V7 Sport and completely restore it for him.

The engine has completely been rebuilt. The barrels have been reconditioned and made to fit the new pistons, an oil filter modification was added. Every part was carefully added, tested and fitted. Oil was pumped through by hand and the engine was tested and proven.

All previously powder coated frame parts have been chemically cleaned and a fresh powder coat layer has been applied. This layer will last a lifetime!
 
The crank shaft and connecting rods have been worked on. All main bearings have been replaced. Fitment is perfect now. the crank shaft has been weighed and balanced.
The cylinder heads have been blasted, cleaned and flattened. The valves, seats and guides have been replaced. New valve springs complete this procedure.
 
The starter has been replaced with a new one, which has been completely rebuilt. Inside and outside.
The gear box has been taken apart, the housing has been blasted, cleaned and new bearings have been placed inside.
Third gear has been renewed as well as all bearings, gaskets and seals. Also, the transmission hub has been replaced with a new one. Finally, all gears were adjusted, so the gear box is completely balanced.
The rear drive has been taken apart, thoroughly cleaned, seals, gaskets and bearings have been replaced. The pinion has been readjusted.
The rear wheel has been taken apart. the spokes were replaced with stainless steel ones. The rim has been polished and a new inner and outer tube have been fitted.
The front wheel has been respoked and the rim has been cleaned and polished. Both front drum brakes have been polished and all other parts were replaced. The brake drums and shoes have been made to fit perfectly.
The rear drum brake has been taken apart. the outside of the housing was thoroughly cleaned and polished. The brake levers have been polished and were re-installed. Several parts were replaced.
The inside of the rear drum brake plate has been blasted, cleaned and the brake shoes and springs have been renewed.
The fork legs have been polished and inner tubes, springs, shock absorbers, fork seals and dust covers have been renewed.
The instrument housing has been painted; the original type shrink paint has been applied and the indicator lamps were replaced.
